LACK OF SECURITY IN ICELAND?
During the ICELAND works, an accident occurred on the helipad, registered by our surveillance cameras.
Despite several attempts to take flight, the pilot was unable to prevent the plane from falling.
The investigation carried out by the authorities revealed that the cause of the accident was due to a human error due to lack of communication regarding the limitation of the type of equipment authorized to operate on the heliport in question.
The ground floor of the helipad would not be dimensioned for the characteristics of the crashed helicopter.
The incident was further aggravated by the action of the thermal conductivity of the helicopter's rear (metallic) train, and by the forced thermal convection, caused by the blades of the device, causing the landing plate to thaw.
The heliport operation procedure has already been revised and disclosed to the parties involved in the operation and maintenance of the heliport, and to all agencies and entities that operate helicopters.
We leave the testimony of our surveillance cameras.
PS: Miraculously, the crew survived, with no serious injuries.
