Every year in August, the Porto Covo Festivals take place. One of the particularities of these parties is the traditional Run to the Ducks in the bay of Portinho de Porto Covo. 
One duck is launched at a time (per race) and the swimmer who manages to catch the duck, wins the same and keeps the duck as a reward.

In 2014, 10 ducks were launched, corresponding to 10 competitions by class by sex and age groups.
